A cracking little tool, not too expensive but very useful for all kinds of things like drilling, sanding, cutting etc.

Glue Gun
I've found having a cheap glue gun around very useful for attaching some components to the Acrylic Panels. For example, I was having trouble attaching several 7-Segment LED displays but found a spot or 2 of hot glue worked great.

3M
Spray Mount
This stuff just works - you get enough time to re-position things before it sets. I use this for attaching the printed card Panel graphics to the Acrylic sheet.

Step Drill Bit
These drill bits were new to me but I soon found them indispensible for drilling various size holes in Acrylic in order to attach the various components such as Buttons and Encoders.

Wire cutters/strippers
I use these all the time to strip ends of my solid core wire.

Soldering Iron
At some point you will need to connect up your components to a controller board, a good soldering iron is a must.

A Magnifier
If your eyesight is anything like mine do yourself a favour and pick up a Magnifier of some sort.

A Drill
Drilling, screwing - you are going to be doing a lot of that, go get a decent drill if you haven't already got one.
